Where can I get the required equipment?

The equipment is sold by each franchisee at a cost of $39.00 (taxes included).

*The Cardio-Express class doesn’t require any additional equipment.

What happens when it rains, or when it’s very hot or cold?

It’s quite rare that a class gets cancelled. The idea is to dress according to the weather.

In the event of a thunderstorm, or when the temperature dips below –25°C, the class may be cancelled. Participants may replace such a class with another from the program schedule.

In times of extreme heat, the Cardio Muscle Toning and Cardio-Stroller classes are modified in intensity (or replaced by an Outdoor Zen class).

How should I dress?

As you would if you were going hiking or cross-country skiing.   The activities don’t require special clothing.

Most hold a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology or physical education, or are certified aerobics instructors from a recognized institution. They’ve also received training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Finally, they’ve completed the theoretical and practical training provided by Outdoor Fitness.

Where’s the meeting place for the classes?

For each park, you’ll find it indicated in the PDF document available for download in our Parks and schedules section.

Are these classes provided by the municipality?

No. Outdoor Fitness is a private company. Danielle Danault, the owner, has been working in the physical fitness industry for 25 years.

How many kilometres do we cover?

Approximately 4 km.
